As a well-rounded designer and inventor (along with many other accomplishments), Bran​ had many ideas to share at the conference. He started out by stating that he doesn't approve of the early mornings, and suggested to come back in the afternoon. Since we were all there already, he continued with his Geodesign lecture. ​

​MEET LUO LING-JUN

Our second speaker is from China, and is actually the first person to propose the idea of Geodesign in China. He has been given several awards for his contributions to his country in the field of Geodesign. Along with being the director for several organizations, he's an engineer and city planner. He has recently been in charge of key national projects in China.​

​MEET DAVE BARTLETT

From years of experience at IBM, Dave has unique ideas that he's thrown into his lecture for the conference. He leads the Smarter Buildings team that helps their clients build "greener" and reduce the amount inefficient energy usage. He's been through extensive academic training, and during his time at IBM he's led teams in autonomic computing, software development, and international roles.

​Bern has worked for ESRI for the past 22 years. He's held a variety of positions that pertain to GIS implementation and software development projects. ​Jen ​​​​is an ecologist, a writer, and a program manager. She specialized in domestic and wild dog ecology. The focus of her presentation was on the ecology of Yellowstone National Park as a benchmark for others in similar scenarios.

​MEET AL REYNOLDS

Al is the US Urban Land sector leader of the design firm Stantec Consulting Services. The topic of his presentation was relating Geodesign to land planning. This plan was
collaborative public/private planning process that led to the creation of Florida's first award-winning Rural Land Stewardship Plan.
